Program Criteria for Mentees
The ProFound Program is designed for motivated young professionals ready to take the first step in their careers. To ensure a meaningful mentorship experience, mentees are asked to meet the following criteria:
- Be a current or recent post-secondary student living in British Columbia.
- Commit to the four-month mentorship partnership, including dedicating time and effort to the program.
- Be able to meet regularly with their mentor and actively follow guidance and recommendations.
- Possess a genuine desire to learn, grow, and set personal and professional goals.
Ideal candidates are curious, proactive, and eager to connect with industry leaders and explore career opportunities.
The more you put into the program, the more you will gain from it. Your engagement directly shapes your experience and outcomes.

The ProFound Program is built on the expertise of experienced professionals to guide, inspire, and support the next generation of talent. To participate as a mentor, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Must have a valid BBOT Membership
- Possess strong industry knowledge and expertise
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and coaching abilities to provide guidance, feedback, and support.
- Commit to the program deliverables, including attending mentorship sessions (hybrid) and actively engaging with their mentee.
- Reside in the Lower Mainland to facilitate participation in program events and mentorship meetings.
Ideal mentors are approachable, supportive, and invested in helping young professionals grow.
The more you engage with your mentee and contribute your time, knowledge, and guidance, the greater the impact you will make, both for your mentee and for your own professional growth.
