He takes a strong interest in shaping resilient, business-friendly communities and contributing to thoughtful governance that advances Burnaby’s economic growth.
Nick Johnson

I've been treasurer and chair of the audit & finance committee at the BBOT since 2021.
My professional background is in accounting where I am a designated CA, CPA, with accreditation in both Canada and the United Kingdom.
As Director of Finance at ABC Recycling Ltd, I oversee the FP&A function and have thirty years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, team leadership and presentation of financial statements.
Mike Kaerne
Past Chair | HollyNorth Production Supplies Ltd.
HollyNorth has been a member of the Burnaby Board of Trade for nearly 28 years. HollyNorth supplies the film, TV, Theatre, Arts and Entertainment industries in Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Island as well as provincially, nationally and around the globe.
I have been on the board in various positions – Director, Vice Chair, Chair Past Chair, Chair of the Board of Governors, and Governor – as well as several committees and task forces for over 15 years. In the past, I've been on various boards and committees with many associations involved in the production of film, TV, and TV commercials.
I joined the Government Relations Committee several years ago to represent the industry I serve as well as provide input from small businesses in Burnaby. Currently, I represent BBOT as a member of the City’s Public Safety Committee.
Dana Martin
Chair, Board of Governors | Scotiabank
Dana Martin is the Vice President, Indigenous Financial Services and joined Scotiabank over 19 years ago. She gained experience throughout Western Canada while taking on progressively senior leadership roles within Retail Banking.
She began her career as a Customer Service Representative. More recently she held the role of District Vice President of Central East Vancouver in the BC & Yukon Region, where she managed a team of over 200 team members.
In the role of Vice President, Indigenous Financial Services, Dana carries a national mandate where she is responsible for growing Indigenous Financial Services by leading business development across Canadian Business Banking. She also collaborates with partners in Wealth, GBM, and Retail Banking. Dana also plays a key role in community engagement and is integral to advancing the Bank’s Indigenous relations. Â
Dana maintains a strong community focus. Apart from her many professional accomplishments, Dana is the Past Chair at the Burnaby Board of Trade. On a personal note, Dana loves to travel and has been to over 60 countries.
Humphrey Ng
Chair, Governance Committee | Juuga Marketing
Humphrey has been a Member of the BBOT since 2016. He joined the Board of Directos in 2023, and has served as the Chair of the Governance Committee since 2025.
Humphrey holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Software Engineering from Simon Fraser University, and is the owner of Juuga Marketing, a digital marketing and automation agency servicing local businesses.
His professional interests centre on empowering small businesses to succeed, and developing policies, structures and systems for organizations to harness AI as a pratical tool for growth.
Humphrey is also currently serving as a Board of Directors of the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA).
Carmen Gonzalez
City of Burnaby
As Deputy General Manager of Parks, Recreation & Culture for the City of Burnaby, Carmen is passionate about creating vibrant communities where people can live, work, learn, and play. Her career has focused on delivering programs, services, and public spaces that enhance quality of life and contribute to a thriving city.
Having served on the Board since 2025, she is proud to support the important partnership between local government and the business community. Carmen brings a collaborative, community-focused perspective and values the role local businesses play in making Burnaby a dynamic, welcoming and prosperous place to call home.
Cynthia Lam
GBC Law
Cynthia has served on the Board of Directors for four years and is currently Co-Chair of the Economic Development Committee. Previously, she was a member and Chair of the Pacific Gateway Committee. As a business and real estate lawyer and owner of GBC Law, she has over a decade of experience advising business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors. With this experience, Cynthia brings firsthand insight into the challenges businesses face in today's economic climate and is passionate about supporting initiatives that foster sustainable economic development and strong local business communities. She is also a recipient of Business in Vancouver's Forty Under 40 award.
Daniel Getz
British Columbia Institute of Technology
Daniel Getz is a BBOT director and Chair of the Government Relations Committee. He has served on the Board since 2024. He is Associate Dean of Broadcast and Media Communications at BCIT, overseeing a range of different educational programs. Prior to joining BCIT, he worked in a series of roles with CBC News, including as an Executive Producer with The National and CBC News Network. He also practiced litigation at a downtown Vancouver law firm. Dan has a passion for not-for-profit governance and community outreach, including in amateur sport. He also takes pride in having taught Media Law to dozens of journalists working in B.C. and beyond.
Jason Wong

Jason Wong is a small business owner and community builder who brings people together through business, collaboration, and local impact. He has served as a Director with the Burnaby Board of Trade since 2020. He’s the founder of Beta Collective, an award-winning coworking and flex workspace; Managing Partner of YVR Prep commissary kitchen; and founder of Next Pin Travel, a licensed agency specializing in family and group travel. Jason also founded the Burnaby Startups & Entrepreneurs Meetup Group, creating accessible opportunities for entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives to connect and grow. Across his businesses and volunteer work, his focus remains on building a stronger, more connected community.
