Moving Targets: Revolutionary Vehicle-Grid Integration

Bjoern Christensen is a global leader in vehicle-grid integration (VGI) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) strategy, with over 15 years of experience advancing bidirectional charging technologies. Since September 2024, he has served as the North American Representative for EV-TCP’s Task 53, while also acting as CEO of Next-Dimension, where he has advised global clients on VGI and V2G strategy since 2019. Previously, Bjoern spent more than eight years as Chief Strategy Officer at Nuvve, helping shape one of the world’s most established V2G platforms. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Siemens AG, most recently as CEO of Siemens Venture Capital (SVO), overseeing Siemens’ global venture investing activities. Bjoern has been directly involved in 12 international VGI projects and is a key contributor to the world’s longest-running V2G deployment, active since 2016. He also serves as an advisor to the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on V2X initiatives.
