BCIT School of Business + Media’s Business Consulting Projects (BCP) connect local businesses with teams of talented students who apply their business knowledge, research skills and industry best practices to real organizational challenges.
Each project pairs your organization with a team of two to three students who work as consultants, applying their knowledge, research skills, and industry best practices to address a specific business need. Projects are typically completed between January and May each year and are available in the following areas:
- Marketing
- Human Resources
- Business Management
- Operations and Process Management
- Supply Chain
- Information Technology
- Sustainable Business
Students work as consultants rather than being placed in operational roles within your organization. Each team is supported by a BCIT faculty advisor throughout the project, helping bring academic knowledge and practical business perspectives together.
Over the course of the engagement, a student consulting team will invest significant time researching your challenge, analyzing opportunities, and developing actionable recommendations. At the project’s conclusion, your organization will receive:
- A comprehensive written report outlining key findings and recommendations
- A professional presentation summarizing research insights and proposed solutions
