Policy and Adoption: Getting Projects Off the Ground

Amandeep Garcha is a deputy director in the Fuels Sector at Natural Resources Canada. His team leads the Federal Government’s efforts in implementing the Hydrogen Strategy for Canada.  He has over 18 years of experience spanning across major sub-sectors of the natural resource economy (including: geoscience, critical minerals, land use planning, hydrocarbons, clean fuels, and Indigenous consultation). Prior to his role as deputy director, he led bilateral cooperation for the department, with countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, India, Japan, and South Korea. He holds a BA (Political Science and History) from Simon Fraser University and an MA (International Relations) from the University of Birmingham(UK).
