I’m running for mayor to keep building a Burnaby that works for everyone. This means building the right kind of housing, improving public safety, delivering new community amenities, streamlining city processes and attracting good jobs - all while keeping properly taxes down and the city debt free.
My plan includes building 1,000 new affordable rental homes, delivering three new community centres, completing the long-overdue Burnaby RCMP detachment expansion and creating the Burnaby Innovation District to attract more business investment and good jobs to our city.
I will continue to stand up for Burnaby by pressuring the provincial government to give us back control over residential zoning and repeal Bill 44, which has allowed up to six homes on single-family lots. | will also fight to get the Burnaby Hospital redevelopment back on track.
Burnaby’s future is bright — let's keep building it together!

Burnaby shaped who I am. I grew up and went to school here, watching my father serve generations of families for 50 years from his Metrotown barbershop. His greatest lesson: listen first.
I bring practical leadership experiences from classroom to boardroom - as a teacher, principal, Western Canada manager, COO of BC Diabetes, and Edmonds Business and Community Association director. I've served on Burnaby's Social Issues committee and supported the City/s outreach program.
Three degrees and Wharton studies prepared me to lead, but my greatest education came from listening to Burnaby's stories - in neighbourhoods, on buses and in small businesses.
I'm running for mayor to improve transportation and infrastructure, make everyday life easier - not harder, respect every tax dollar, attract corporate headquarters and good paying jobs, and expand rent-to-own housing to improve affordability and restore hope.
After eight years, ask yourself: Are you better off?

Natalia Bember
Natalia Bember
My name is Natalia Bember. I live in Burnaby and use a mobility scooter.
New buildings must have ramps, and they do. But Burnaby is full of older buildings, and most have none. There is no obligation to add one, and none even to answer when a resident asks.
Two years ago I asked the management of my rental complex for a ramp. As a tenant, I could not build it myself. A City building inspector visited and said it would be simple. I am still waiting. That silence is the pattern.
Sidewalks are the other half. Sometimes I cross traffic to find one.
I am running as an independent, with three priorities. Ramps in older buildings. Roads and sidewalks that work. A real voice for seniors, families and disabled residents.
I founded the Access World Foundation, and I am a BCIT graduate.
Access isn't enough. It has to work.

Neil Chapman
Restore Burnaby Alliance
Neil Chapman knows Burnaby from both sides — from a duplex near Boundary Road to a house near Lougheed. That contrast shaped how he sees the city: one Burnaby, but fractured neighbourhoods with different needs.
He started working door-to-door sales, and learned early that active listening comes before leading — understanding what people need before telling them what they should want. That instinct has stayed with him.
Today, Neil runs three businesses at once: he's a painting contractor, a catering manager, and the founder of a keto food brand. He knows firsthand what it takes to juggle multiple jobs to make ends meet. That working life is the foundation of his politics: accountable taxation, efficient public services, and practical policies for the people keeping this city running.
Neil isn't running on credentials. He's running on common sense, commitment, and a genuine love of serving people. He believes in action.

I was born at Burnaby General and came back because I love this city. I work in commercial pest control and I’m running as an independent — no party, no slate, just Burnaby.
To prepare, I attended every city council meeting I could, studied every agenda, and met with senior staff and council to understand this role before asking for your vote.
Knocking on doors, I hear the same frustrations: climbing taxes, unanswered emails to city hall, and neighbourhood decisions made without resident input. When I found car batteries and paint cans dumped in Stoney Creek, I reported it. After eleven days of inaction, I hauled it out myself.
My priorities: financial accountability, community engagement, responsible growth.
You deserve a voice at that table who answers to you.

Burnaby residents deserve a City Hall that treats tax dollars with care. I am running for Council because I want closer attention to how public money is spent and a stronger habit of asking whether each dollar delivers value. Capital projects should not become an automatic reason to raise taxes. I will push to work within budget, question waste, and scale back programs that do not clearly serve Burnaby as a whole. I will also stand up for our green spaces. Growth should not mean losing the parks and trees that define this city. I am vice-president of a 280-unit strata. I have been self-employed in production for over two decades, and I have worked as a medical technician and in retail management. No more hiding from residents!
Don't let a single party dominate your ballot, vote for new voices. Spread the word to make a difference! Plus, I'm a former Federal Green candidate. Well here we are, 4 years later. AI has become almost fully integrated into our lives, we're in a trade war with America, the economy is teetering and our daily lives have gotten more precarious. I think I'm on my 6th ‘once in a lifetime, event.’
The common denominator here is that old ideas have impacted government at all levels. We're stuck watching instructional videos from the 1950’s that have little relevance today.
To enact change we need to start at the ground level. New ideas need to be enacted and my goal this time around in running for council is to get more young people involved in the process so we can start building a future we can believe in. That starts here in Burnaby.
As always, I won't lie, and I will do my best to respond to every message. My name is Konstantine and I won’t disappoint.

Philip Stojanovski
As a Burnaby resident and professional workplace investigator, my job is to cut through noise, listen to people, and find the real root cause of problems. I’m running for City Councillor because our local government desperately needs that same accountability and common-sense approach.
Every day, we all feel the squeeze of Burnaby growing so fast. The roads are completely packed, traffic is crawling, and just getting across town for work or errands is becoming a daily headache. We need leaders who know how to look at these broken systems, ask tough questions, and demand better planning before approving more massive buildings that clog our streets even more.
I’m fighting for better traffic flow, safer streets for everyone walking, biking, and driving, and a city hall that puts residential safety first. Let’s bring honest oversight and practical solutions back to Burnaby.

Tom Tao, 82 years old. And I like to make this a better city for my grand daughter.
I believe Burnaby ought to be senior friendly. With Trump’s tariff, I think we will face hard time. And crime will be up. We need seasoned old to confront many future situation.
We need a convenient mind government to serve and manage our city. Richmond did night market. We in Burnaby will have night economy for the winter cold.
Paper kept talking about big one.
City hall needs plans to help to protect our water and food. Bad people around our city will come to raid. Remember our city has rock hard foundation.
We will survive better. That will make us a target.
And we have more high rises. Do we have good safety measure. I live in high rise. I think we badly need better tools to escape.
I am old, so I care, and I wish the city will get them done.
