BBOT Urges Federal Government to Prevent Canada Post Strike

The Burnaby Board of Trade is calling on the federal government to take immediate action to prevent the planned Canada Post strike set to begin on May 23.
The postal service is a critical part of Canada’s economic infrastructure, and another disruption would severely impact businesses, particularly small businesses and e-commerce operators who rely on timely deliveries to serve customers and manage operations. With the economic environment already challenging, this strike would create further instability at a time when businesses can least afford it.
That’s why the Burnaby Board of Trade has formally reached out to the Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada; the Honourable Steven MacKinnon, P.C., M.P., Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour; and the Honourable Joel Lightbound, Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement, urging immediate intervention.
We are committed to ensuring our members’ voices are heard. If your business is being or may be affected by the strike, please get in touch with us at robyn@bbot.ca so we can continue advocating on your behalf.
