Jamie Moran is Chief Growth Officer at ClimateDoor and Entrepreneur in Residence at Foresight Cleantech Accelerator, specializing in helping climate tech ventures close the gap between validation and commercial scale.
Jamie's unconventional path started with co-founding a neuroscience company in San Francisco that raised VC funding, sold into pro sports and education markets, and was acquired. Through investors involved with Breakthrough Energy, he discovered climate tech's urgency and pivoted his career. Mentored by lean startup pioneers, he developed customer discovery frameworks specifically for climate and cleantech startups.
After bringing these approaches back to Canada and founding a cleantech consultancy (later acquired by ClimateDoor), Jamie now embeds with founding teams to navigate product-market fit, build blended capital stacks, and establish First Nations partnerships.
His portfolio companies have raised $73M in VC and $18M in non-dilutive funding. Jamie has appeared on panels like Foresight waterNEXT, workshops with ClimateBase, and facilitated partnerships with Web Summit, NorthX, Foresight, Spring Impact Capital, and Cycle Momentum.
