Building a Thriving Future for Burnaby

The Burnaby Board of Trade is proud to join the City of Burnaby’s new Mayor’s Task Force on Economic Growth and Resilience, which will help ensure our business community has the tools, strategies, and solutions needed to succeed in a rapidly shifting global economy. This Task Force, comprised of business and community leaders, is designed to strengthen Burnaby’s position as a leading hub for business and innovation, and will guide the City through a pivotal period of economic planning, aligning with the updated Official Community Plan (Burnaby 2050). The Task Force will also inform the upcoming Economic Development Strategy.

Purpose and Goals

The Task Force will:

  • identify key economic challenges and opportunities facing Burnaby
  • develop actionable recommendations to support sustainable growth
  • align its work with Burnaby’s long-term planning frameworks

Get Involved

Share your thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of doing business in Burnaby by taking the City of Burnaby Business Pulse Survey. The survey is open until October 12th, 2025.

 

As a thank you, participants will be entered for a chance to win one of the following prizes:

Participation in this survey is voluntary. By completing the survey, you acknowledge that your responses will be shared with both the City of Burnaby and the Burnaby Board of Trade for planning and engagement purposes. All survey responses will be kept confidential and will only be reported in aggregate. If you choose to enter the prize draw, your email address will be collected solely for the purposes of administering the contest.
